In the confluence between Sant Raimon de Penyafort and Rambla de la Mina Streets and Ronda del Litoral, there is a public area making a delta where the Besos Interuniversity Campus will be located. This campus will arrive at the sea across green areas and will connect to the Sant Adrià harbour and the Forum area. It will be situated on the right bank of the Besòs river mouth within the lower right part of the circle formed by B-10 and B-20 roads. There will be tram, underground and buses lines.

Public institutions intend reserving public areas to satisfy the request for new university facilities promoting territory transformation. Its aims are: promoting the development of new industrial activities (similar to the 22@ project) through the promotion of relations with research companies; development and innovation of products, processes and services; meeting the needs and productive challenges of our country and having human capital able to work in team and assume environmental challenges.

Education, research and business activity will be the basic axes of the Campus. The areas of study will be energy, mobility, water and architecture technologies, town planning and edification.

Areas and services of the Campus:
- Education (master’s degrees, doctoral programmes, continuing education, postgraduated courses and customized training and education for companies).
- Research (applied basic research, technology transfer and services to industry).
- Innovation (seed capital, incubators for companies, The College of Innovation).
- Business activity (mixed centres, business research centres, etc.)

The new campus will also integrate complementary services promoting interconnection between all functions as halls of residence, common areas of interaction, mechanisms of relationship with its social scene and implication with companies under its influence (district 22@ Barcelona, Metropolitan region of Barcelona and Catalonia) and channels of connection with international networks.
