Although the demand for office space and tertiary activities in Badalona is as yet insufficient to warrant major property developments, a number of recent measures aim to enable the city to continue to attract advanced service activities and tertiary activities in general. As result, if until recently the supply of tertiary office space has been scarce and dispersed in the city centre, a series of new office complexes have begun to bolster the supply significantly.

  • The extension to the Badalona Internacional Business Centre (BCIN) building on the Guixeres Estate, at a date yet to be specified, which will comprise 2,600 sq m distributed in modules of approximately 20 sq m, suitable for about 80 businesses. The BCIN building has accommodated more than 30 advanced service firms since 1995.

Blurbis

  • The Blurbis Building on the Montigalà Estate with six large storeys for luxury offices. A modern office building constructed under the strictest quality parameters, with ample, diaphanous spaces that provide great versatility on each floor, and the possibility of conducting any sort of business activity.

  • The new Sacresa development, a large 13-storey office building on the Guixeres Estate. It will come into operation in 2007, and construction work is already under way

GranLand
  • The supply of tertiary office space in the new l Granland business park, on the South Estate.
  • The future development of the large Central Island may also prove to be an incentive for the promotion of tertiary office space throughout the area, owing to the great metropolitan centrality and connectivity it will enjoy.
  • Although it will be used exclusively for municipal activities, we should also mention the advanced state of the construction work on the new municipal building in Via Augusta, as it will reinforce the centrality of this part of the city, alongside the museum and the law courts.
